During hurricane Ophelia the metal roof blew off the building next to my bus. Both windshiels were scratched by the edges of the metal moving because of the wind. Does anyone know of a way to polish the sctatches our of the glass. If not, where can I purchase replacement windshields for an Eagle Model 20NJ? Art |

I have always heard that scratches on glass can be polished out using toothpaste. I have never tried it myself or even known anyone who has, but there it is for your amusement. As for replacement windshields, try Curved Glass curvedglassbus@aol.com They had windshields for my coach. HTH Dale MC8 |

My son-in-laws cousin has a repair kit to fix scratched/cracked/chipped windwhields. It uses 120 volt house current and some special mix to repair them. He said that holes the size of a golf ball were no problem. He had to go to school to learn how to use this machine. I saw him fix 3 gravel "stars" on a pick-up truck windshield. You can't tell where they were. I don't know the name of the gadget. |

Try Eastwood.com they have a glass polisher they say will take out deep scratches. Have not tried it, just saw it in their catolog. Also a lite grade of jewelers rouge works. Syd |

You may polish out the scratches.............. but, you will have bad distortions that affect night driving quite noticably. This from personal experience. Buy new glass! |

Buy new glass! Glass is considered a consumable (like windshield wipers) by the high end commercials. At a $125 a pop (GM) its one of the nicest things you can do for YOURSELF!!! if you ever drive at night. Buy new glass! FAST FRED |
