Inside the propane wall heater the three burner ceramic panels (approx 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 each ) appear to be held in and sealed with some type of ceramic grout. Is this grout available? can it be resealed ? A couple of corners broke out and about a inch on the side of one panel. I noticed it as the flame color was a differant color in the area. |

Probably something in here will work, Paul. These are hi-temp products for stoves and fireplaces. Should be readily available in the Great White North, I suspect. Probably needing that old heater about now, eh? bb |

Thanks Brian 30 items to chose from and it appears the one I need is the cheapest now something is gotta be wrong with that idea. The tube says it is good for 2000 F I'm sure those little panels must not exceed that. I'm hoping someone else has done it and chimes in saying it can be done. It appears the grout just seals the gas behind the ceramic honeycomb panel. I hate guessing when leaking propane is the default. Heater in Canada nah! just running out of things to do I'll have to crack the safe. |
