Are glasstop electric stoves available? (Three burner/no oven) I am trying to get all the counter top I can, and I think they would work. Has anyone tried? |

I have one made by Seaward Products. They are available in 2 or 3 burner tops. Great stove, fairly quick but not like a 220v one. Certainly will meet all the needs of an RV'er. Black tops or grey tops. Jim |

I have a glass cook top without a stove. It's a two burner 220 volts. Works great. Marc |

Hi Joebus They are available from several places. Look at these, http://www.seawardproducts.com and Dick Wrico has them at http://www.wricointernational.com. Not to that point in my conversion but am planning smooth 3 burner glass top per wife "recommendation". Rob 91 Prevost Missouri |

The need for 220v will have you passing by 50% to 90% of the campgrounds , at least on the Right coast. And dont bother with visiting Canada. At least bring a 110 hot plate to make some coffee. FAST FRED |

How about a Wallas Diesel cooktop? No need for propane or 110. The 85DU is a flush mount unit. http://www.wallas.com/index_eng.php?group=1&type=1&ID=37# |

How expensive are the Wallas units? |

I think a little under $1000 if I recall correctly. I will post the best price I find since I am fully intending to use one of these in my conversion to eliminate the need for propane. |

As much as I like the idea of single source for energy,I think the reason diesel stoves are not used a lot is that they have a reputation for being cranky, smelly and for just not working very well. Check with boaters |
