First off I would just like to appologise for being lazy.... but after my 10th Search page of trying to hunt down the awnsers I am looking for I gave up. Anyway I am planning on skinning over the two middle windows in my 4104 with aluminum and was wondering what the best way was. Should I remove the entire window panel and replace it with the aluminum panel ? My second question is what size and type of rivet should I use so that I can match the existing rivets and how is it done. I've read some explinations and am having a hard time grasping it. Thanks for any help that I can get.... |

Hi Rusty, We spent a lot of time developing a kit that makes your job simple. We have the panels that cover the (2) center windows with fluted panels to match the upper panels on the coach. You don't have to cut, measure or fit. You don't have to take out the windows, from what my guys that have done it tell me, you can, but why waste the time & take out structural strength. 3/16" or 1/4" aluminum monobolt rivet works great. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks Rich 800-468-5287 |

Thanks Rich I appreciate the enthusiasm but I've seen the price tag on you window cover panels and at $900 a set + shipping it isn't realy in my price range. If you were willing to sell me a couple at the $120 dolor range I'm looking at for covering them with flat alluminum then hey we've got a deal. Don't get me wrong I understand that It costs money to produce these panels there just not in my price range. I appreciate the heads up on the rivets I'm going to go find some and giver it a try. |

Hi Rusty, I just finished doing the exact same thing to my 04. I used 18 ga galvanized steel to do mine, much more ridged than aluminum and does'nt dent or wrinkle as easly. Cost me a little over $300.If you must use aluminum I'd go with 16 ga. e-mail me off board and I can be more detailed and send you some pictures also. bobbyblammo at yahoo dot com Bob 4104-2346 Flint,Mi |
