Have a small quarter sized boo-boo on my one year old Flexsteel sofa. Cannot find anyone to repair the thing. Flexsteel won't respond (or they have not so far) to email questions, and Bradd and Hall where the furniture was originally bought, don't have a clue. Never thought about repairing these leather covered things. Looking like these $1500 dollar sofas are "throwaways" if the covering is damaged. I have the cover off...that was easy. I could just as easily replace a complete lower cover if Flexsteel would supply one. Don't mind paying for it...just want it without flaws.
Learned one thing...don't bring music instruments inside the coach!
Something to think about before spending 3 or 4 K on living room furnishings.
Any ideas would be appreciated! JR, Monroe, NC

I have no answer on your problem but I was wondering about the musical instrument. My mandolin or my ukulele don't hurt a thing.

Yeah..... Got a terrible stain on mine from an organ.

Most local auto detail shops do leather repair. They sell a
leather and vinyl repair kit at Walmart, but I'd go the auto
repair route, rather than chance making things worse.

Talk to a 'stick n staple' dealership. They have the pull to get a response from Flexsteel. When I worked for a dealer, we had Flexsteel trucks pick-up, repair/replace and deliver as needed. Of course the dealership will want to sell you a new one - coach or if not that - sofa. LOL

Call Larry at Custom RV Interiors. He has a real nice MC8. He is a Flexsteel dealer and a busnut and can probably give you pointers on how to get it fixed.

John, just what kind of an organ stain was that?

FWIW, Flexsteel called and offered to repair the cover. They apparently DO read their email and they DO follow up. Very pleasant to talk with.
The offending instrument was a mandolin case. It just slipped off of our mando players knees while he was dinking with the open case. Stringed instruments + beer + leather = repair. The cut strings on the tuners will easily damage leather...and people.
It's rare that anyone would have an instument in my coach..I'm an upright bass player and the bass will barely stand upright in an MC9. Need a raised roof. I'd still be building if I'd tried raising the roof. Have to build a new barn to house the bus too! Not happening.
Thanks for the suggestions. I may still be in need of additional resources. Flexsteel added that they could probably repair the section of leather, or, they could supply a new lower cover complete.
After spending over $4K with Bradd and Hall I am more than a little disappointed in their lack of assistance. Thanks, JR

If anyone is near Oregon, this company is great to deal with, and can return Flexsteel furniture for repairs using the Flexsteel delivery truck:
