A friend has a 15kw Yanmar generator connected to an invertor that is connected to a bank of batts. that supply his house with 110v. The generator will run finefor 10 min, or so and then it starts chugging (like missing) for a few mins. and then run ok. This problem is intermittant. Any clues would be appreciated. Thanks, Wayne |

Try checking ALL the fuel filters. Give a Yanmar fuel and clean air and they run forever. Sounds like a fuel or fuel delivery problem. If filters are clean, check fuel lines and fuel pumps. |

Probably a small air leak on the fuel line. the engine will chug and lug until the air bubbles pass through the injector return lines. Make sure all the fuel line clamps are nice and tight. I like to put double clamps on when I have them and happen to think about it, saves on that seeping air bubble getting in. |
