Hello all - is there a regular preventative maintainence schedule that should be followed on the Webasto unit? Now that the cold weather season is around the corner I would hate to have the thing fail. Any thoughts or pointer appreciated. Craig - MC7 Oregon |

Thanks. I tried http://www.webasto-us.com/ before I posted and didn't have any luck. Do you know a URL that will lead to a manual or PM section? Craig - MC7 Oregon |

The best thing anybody can do to keep the Webasto in good condition is run it at least once a month, and keep clean fuel filters. |

The recommended service I have seen is to replace the fuel filter and have the burner head cleaned once a year. I would skip the burner head cleaning until the unit actually started to smoke. --Geoff '82 RTS AZ |

Hello Craig. Opening up the burner chamber and making sure it is clean inside annually might be a good thing. I found mine quite full of little solids, some sort of burner byproduct that had accumulated over who knows how long by previous owner. It was blocking all the little grooves for heat transfer and air flow. Vacuum cleaner fixed it quickly. happy coaching! buswarrior |

Buswarrior - thanks. I have never had the box cover off let alone the burner chamber, so I expect that I will find the same as you. I'll give that a go this weekend (if the rain holds off, otherwise it is coffee and something indoors!). Craig - MC7 Oregon |

I attempted "Webasto" on search and came up with a whole variety, including Webasto.com....tech information on each model included. FWIW RCB '64 Crown Supercoach (HWC) |
