I'm getting to the point to start putting my duct work in for my basement AC. I haven't been able to find any info on how much volume one of these units can move and there for I don't know how big a duct I need/ how many. I just put in a house system and from what the "Pro" told me in order to get out of them what you paid for you need to have the right amount of the right size duct work. Are the RV units the same and if so where can I find the info I need. I'm not looking to install the unit yet just the ducts in the tunnel so I can close it up. Once my tanks go in I won't be able to get back in there without taking the tanks out.

Somehow you need to get the CFM specs from the mfg on your unit. I don't see how they could sell it without it. Who would know how to size the ductwork without that?

I'm either going to use the Coleman unit on Ronthebusnut or a couple smaller marine units. Rons is cheaper and bigger BTU so that's the route I'd like to go. I've tried to look on the Coleman site but I can't find anything that's any help.
I'm looking at about 4 or 5 vents total on 5 to 6 inch duct work max. I just don't know if that will work.
The marine units I've seen can be bought with duct work (4 inch) but not much of it, hence needing two units. I'm guessing what they sell with is what they should be run with.
It's like basement A/C is a myth rather than a practice.

Ron sent me info prior to purchasing....it is complete and at the very least will (should) be with the unit when it is shipped. He is very helpful and wants to please...ask for *him* when you call.

As I recall, minimum 48CI coming out.....amd minimum of 64ci thruout the venting system. Most important is the return air....The larger the better according to the literature...making things more efficient.

If push comes to shove, let me know and I'll figure out a way to get specifics to you.

FWIW, Coleman has a very extensive dealer/repair network and will just refer you to them...

You can always add fans (blowers) at the vents at the far ends....
