Hi Keith. I hope somebody more knowledgeable than me chimes in here.

The MID identifies the microprocessor involved. The engine is typically MID 128, so I am not sure what MID 31 is and my Pro Link information does not list it.

Could it be MID 130 in which case it would be a transmission. If that is the case, SID is a “C6 Clutch Pressure indicator”.

The only info I can find for SID 26 is as follows
SID 26 - aux output #1 short to battery (+) - F3
SID 26 - aux output #1 open circut - F3
SID 26 - aux output #1 mechanical system not responding properly - F3
As you can see they all say pin F3. Hope you can use the info and find the problem. Bill

code 26 - Power control switch - indicates that the "user defined / power control switch" has been used ---- do you have a circuit on pin H2 (524) - this would indicate that you have a "user defined" device that let the h2 line go to ground - this tells the DDEC to turn on the "stop engine" and the "check engine" and begins "power down" and shutdown processes

code 31 - indicates ecu detected the following fault for over 2 seconds

A-open in "check engine" or "stop engine" light circuits

B-short to ground in the "check engine" or Stop engine" or "cruise active" or "crank position sensor" or "engine brake sensor" circuits or any of the 3 "aux drive circuit

hmmm 31 could mean you have no bulbs in the stop or check engine lites or have not wired the circuits yet - or the to high wattage bulbs (looks like a short)

clears as mud ?? call 386***672***0571

Bill, I found the same information, but that is for MID 128 which is the engine. Also, it did not make much sense for a bus.

Kieth says that his MID is 31 which would have a different series of SIDs. I just can't find any listing for MID 31. In a bus, it should only show an engine MID of 128 or a transmission MID of 130. If it were a newer bus, an MID for ABS brakes might fit.

Bottom line, we need to find out what processor the MID 31 addresses.

You are right. You are more knowledgeable then I am on these engines but I couldn't find MID 31 either and figured what ever he is using has to be similar to the MID 128 we are all used to. I figured it might be somewhere to start. Bill
