Hi Ray, You can get a 26"x26" vent/escape hatch made by ventline at any RV supply with a catalog. It's just like a regular vent only the screen unlatches for escape. Good luck, Ted |

I went to a marine salvage shop and found 4 brand new hatches, about 22x22. The are safety glass and were grey tinted. - This shop had hatches of all sizes, mostly new, some used. you would have no problem finding one to fit your configuration. - Oh, to help keep heat out, I had a commercial tint placed on the hatches, looks kinda like a mirror and boy does it work well. Just a thought if you go with a hatch.-cd |

This type item is used on larger boats. Probably not what is found in a lake or river. Usually on 40ft + boats. Get the West Marine catalog 800# in CA and the Defender industried Catalog 800# in CT, Both will have hatches in different price ranges that work. If anyone wants great marine stuff for a fraction of list , the Dania FL flea market , near FFL, usually in late April , will have real wire , circuit breakers , hatches, european shower telephones, and tons of used stuff , in addition to mfg overstock new stuff. Worth a drive from anywhere. FAST FRED |

The Boat folks make shower stuff that is tres bon, the telephone shower is a set of controll valves ,wall or sink mount and a long hose to a shower head , that looks like a phone . You can clip it onto a long vertical rod to have the shower at any hight , or use it to wash on the hose. Most have shut off in the handle , so you can save water while scrubbing. Most are very fine chrome on brass and a treat in the bathroom. See them in a West marine catalog , about $150 a set { but very worth it if your going fancy}, we got the set at Dania Flea Market for about $20 a set. FAST FRED |

I do not recommend the RV style 26X26. I've had two damaged by wind. One completely exploded in a 50 mph headwind in NM. I am thinking of switching to the Transpec http://www.transpecworldwide.com/safety_vents.htm product. I've also looked at marine products, Bomar 603-826-5791 is one. |
