Last week i stopped the air leak on my windshield
washer valve by capping the air supply hose to that valve. After I aired the coach back up I now have a emergency brake warning light flashing
on the instrument cluster. The question is can anyone tell me how this warning system works, the placement of the air pressure switch and would capping the air line to that valve cause the light to flash?

Any light you can shed on this subject will be
greatly appreciated. I do have the service manual and parts manual for this bus.

Thanks in advance,

Glen,
The light is electrical and may have a loose connection on it now. The switch that activates the light is on the air line in the spare tire compartment, under the driver seat. The light will probably go out when you release the parking brake. If everything else is working properly, look for a bad wire connection. Capping the air supply to the windshield washer should not have affected the emergency brake system.

Hello Glen.

My guess is during your work you have disturbed the wiring under the dash and now you need to figure out if what is happening is supposed to and wasn't, or is not supposed to and is now.

I support the suggestion of release the parking brake and see what happens.

let us know!

happy coaching!

Emergency brake warning light MCI5A 1967

Thanks Dale and Buswarrior for your reply. I haven't had a chance to check my air pressure
switch for the emergency brake. But looking at my service manual, it is located in the spare
tire compartment. I'm going to check it first and if that's not it I will check out the wiring under the dash.

Thank you very much for the info.

If worse comes to worse, just do what I do, and take out the offending bulb.
