I had a 4104 that was setup like that. I never had no problems. The mechanic that worked on my bus said that he saw that a lot.

Hello lbrown.

For busnut use, I'd consider applying something between the faces of the two rims.

Regardless of rim type or mix.

A busnut doesn't usually take the wheels apart as often as a commercial operation.

There will be seizing and corrosion between rims, and between rims and the hub that a commercial guy has never seen.

Make sure you have threads peeking out beyond the fastener.

happy coaching!

I've been doing a little research about the subject, and found some info about it, on either Alcoa's or Accuride's website. I seems that they (whichever site it was) make a thin plastic spacer to fit between the steel and the aluminum wheels.

I added alcola's to my Scenic this year. The local truck parts store caries the plastic spacers, cost a few bucks, you will probably need longer inner lug nuts also. Both should be easy to find. Don't forget to get LH and RH threaded nuts and check them in the store. I had my wheels off and found they had given me a few of the wrong thread in one of the boxes. Makes the bus look 100 times better

Be certain that your aluminum rims match your hubs, studs, and lugs. Aluminum wheels require longer studs, and may be either "hub piloted" or "stud piloted"..You may have to change to longer studs. You must use a wheel that's designed for your hubs.
As stated, the steel inner dual is common. Plastic isolater (spacer) looks like a gasket.
