ABC Wife Swap, tonights family included a funeral director and a guy who has sold his house to live on the road in a converted bus.

They swap wives and the fun begins.

Will anyone else admit they watched this show?

It raised some interesting questions about some peoples vagabond choices.

I can't say the busnut was shown in a very favorable light.

Andre, if you're out there, we understand.

That lady is nuts. And I don't mean Busnuts either.

We can't wait for the day to just load up and go, But I do agree you gotta let the kids grow up first.

Wonder what the fellow does for money? because I share his idea about work. I have a serious allergy to work also.

Addiction, yea right I can quit working on mine anytime I want. I just don't want to.

Nice MCI though.

I don't really watch the show, but I did want to see that episode. I read about it months ago. He has a web site too... does anyone know the link?

Yeah, I watched that episode a while back. I was real dissapointed in the way Andre was portrayed. The editing was done in such obvious fashon to shift from reality to outrageous. It almost seemed as though the producers were disapointed that their bus wasn't like the Partridge family bus. I don't think the producers had spent much time in a RV either.

Maybe I'm wrong, but in my house, the parents make the final decision - NOT the kids. (We do talk to our kids & know their needs, wants & desires.)

As far as the kids education suffering & them doing poorly on the 'test'. To be fair, they were taken out of home school early and nothing much was said about their experiences & what they had learned.

Can you tell that I'm not much of a fan of that show?

OK, so what happened?

It turns out the show first aired last February. The web site talks about the experience and it seems like everyone had a good time but as near as I can tell, that was the last update of the web site.

So did they really revcover from the TV folks making them look like wackos?

I hope so.

If anyone knows what's going on I'm curious.

I have no bus and My RV hasn't moved in several months. Andre is keeping the dream alive :-)

Yes this was a repeat of an earlier show.

Here's the BNO thread on the airing of the first

And here's Andre's epilog

We home schooled our kids for a couple of years and they learned more than they did at public school.

I didn't get to see the show. I like the idea of living in a bus and traveling around the country, but financially I could not afford it. I have been curious how much money they had in the bank when they left for this journey. My guess was in the 200k-300k range. (ie 300k @ 5%-7% = $15,000-$21,000 a year) We couldn't do it with kids. I think they would enjoy it for a while, but in time they would miss the nest.

I notice they haven't made any more entries... what ever happened to them?

Mike
