I posted this a while ago, but since it is much colder now, my question is OTR heat on an Eagle. My current dash does not have a control for turning on the blowers WITHOUT starting the A/C compressor and running the A/C. I can install a switch to activate the blowers themselves, but my question is will the heater core be open automatically? I have a rheostat at the dash, and I'm not sure if this controls the heater core or not. Thanks |

I have a 1984 Eagle. Below the Rheostat, The first switch, a three position switch, (far left) is for setting the system for AC, heat, or automatic using the rheostat. The switch when in the upper position is AC on all the time, lower position heater on all the time, middle position lets the rheostat determine what is on considering the temperature in the coach. Second switch, two position switch, is the passenger area blower,up position blower on-down off. Third switch from left is the Drivers blower switch which is three position, up high-middle off-down low.The fourth switch from the left is the drivers AC, up on-down off. Next to the the drivers AC switch is a round blue light that lights when the AC compressor is operating. The bottom sliding controls, defrost and temp control is for the drivers area only. That is how my coach operates, however I have seen 80's Eagles with different controls. They have a square light telling when the compressor is on and the switches have different functions. I do not know what that is. Hope this helps!! |
