Hey all,
I am thinking about putting a linear actuator in my door to run the stricker in and out. I would like to operate the system withn a keyles entry pad so that I could put in a code and the stiker would retract and another to insert the striker
I guess I need to explain the striker arrangment It will a simple slider going into the body or door jam from the door.
Does anybody know where I would go to find these sorts of things? I think I can find the actuator fairly easily but the keyles pads I think be a little harder to find.
Gary, I think you are one of the most knowledgable people with regard to this type system.
I don't think this will be real complicated but then I am a better mechanic than I am an electrician. As usuall thanks all in advance.

I was looking in the Lows sale flyer last week and they had a dead bolt with a key pad on it. I didn't actualy go look at it, but since it is a dead bolt I asume that the bolt pulls back by itself when the proper code is entered. It also works with a key... great if their is no power to the system.

Sorry Jerry,
As most everyone knows I'm boarderline computer illiterate. I just typed in "Actuator" and to my surprise up popped just what I was looking for.As was the case with the keypad typed in "Keyless" entry and I got the perfact setup. I have no idea how to put those sites in the other color so others can just click on it. I think my kids can show me how.
