The MCI I just purchased has an 8v92 DDEC motor in it. can any one give me info on that motor pros and cons. the motor was brand new in 95 with I believe about 30,000 miles on it. It does not have the bigger radiators but has air scoops to help air flow. the previous owner said it did NOT over heat but his mechanic said if ran against the governor it would start climbing towards the hot side. with the new rear end Highway gears, there is no need to run it that hard. |

I have owned a MCI for 10 years.I can tell you it will run hot with the small radiators. You need the large radiators and the big blowers. You may be allright in cool weather but in hot weather and in the mountains it will get hot. |
