For all of you who've provided advice, guidance, and support, MY NEW BUS MADE IT SAFELY HOME AND INTO THE YARD TODAY!!!!!! I was so excited, and proud of my little landscape-engineering project, that the bus fit neatly into its new nest. It even had a little margin (about 6" on each side) in the tricky maneuver around the corner. The guy I bought from is an absolute gem. He fixed EVERY little body ding, stripped the seats, luggage racks and rest room, steam cleaned the engine, changed all the filters, hoses, and belts, AND, he turned over the ENTIRE maintenance history of the bus, a complete ORIGINAL (not photocopied into obscurity) parts and maintenance manual (I must have been VERY good in a former life), AND, as a special gift on top of it all, unloaded about 5 years worth of Bus Conversion Magazine on me! I've got enough to read to last me the next 6 months! Anyone in desparate need of a particular schematic from da book, let me know and I'll do my best to scan it for ya. Thanks again to everyone for getting me this far. As I said to one of my neighbors, "Now the fun begins". His reply? "You must have a different definition of fun than me". Guess that pretty much defines the term "bus nut", huh? john |

Cool, kewl and very kool! That's great! Glad it fit as expected. Well, you have the whole project ahead of you now. The bus in the yard, all cleaned up and ready to go. Work by day, read the mags by night! What fun! Scott |
