Just purchased a 1967 01 Eagle conversion. Engine redone just 85000 miles ago. He said the jake worked fine. Has a toggle switch and when on work same as when off. Is there something else I need to know about jakes? Never have operated one, so not sure what is the correct procedure. Where can I get a manual?
Thanks

Check to switch to make sure its not been shorted
betweent the poles.
Most older jakes are just On and Off,however some
had a Low,High,Off position switch.
You can contact Jake brake at www.jakebrake.com
Write down the phone number and call them, you dont get any answer on there email system.
Hope this helps.

there also should be 2 microswitches... 1 on the throttle linkage.. and 1 on the clutch linkage..... these keep the jakes from coming on when they are not supposed to....use a voltmeter or a test light to check the circuits...and trace it all the way to the engine....
