On my MCI 102 I want to get in behind the SS panel on the left side of the footwell. I have removed the screws along the top and the ones by the door, but cannot figure out how to remove the panel. There is some SS corner trim between the stairs and this panel, but I cannot see any screws to remove it. Is the trim taped or glued in place (with the panel screws behind it) or does the whole stairwell have to be removed to get this panel out? I have checked the manual and can't find the info I need. Any thoughts would be appreciated..Thanks |

If similar to an MC9, and I believe a 102 is, the whole stairwell comes out as a unit. A member on the NJT Busnuts Yahoo group has pix posted of his MC9's stairwell assembly after removal and it was the whole thing. Had to get it out to repair frame rust issue. Once the sealer was broken, it apparently was easy to get in and out. Good Luck, JR, Charlotte, NC |
