Thanks to all that answered questions on getting our bus inspected. We are in Nashville and picked up the bus yesterday. I have a couple of problems maybe somebody might have some insight on:
1) We have an 84 Eagle Model 10 with 8v71 and Allison auto. I was checking oil levels this afternoon and I noticed that the device(I think it might be the power steering pump, its on the drivers side just behind the tailight), did not show anything on the dipstick. I don't have the DA Book yet, so what kind of fluid goes in this unit?
2) Where does one get DA Book everyone refers to?
3) The coach has a converter with battery charger and there is one big battery(8D?) for the house 12V lights. The problem is that they lights are dim. The coach has been on the sales lot, then at the conversion shop for a few items for weeks. Could it be that it just takes a long time to charge the big house battery? Any ideas?
4) Where is the best place to buy the Eagle 10 Service/Maintenance and parts manuals? Anyone have a set they want to sell?
5) I noticed when driving from the conversion shop to the RV park that the temp gauge got to 200. What is the max water temp? My Wrico 15KW generator shares the radiator with the engine, don't know if that would make a difference.
Thanks In Advance!

Use Dextron 11 (so the manual says.) I use Dextron 111 as I can't find 11 anymore for the power steering reservoir. I bought my parts and service manual from Dean Coach in the Carolinas over 7 years ago for my 1984 Eagle 10 that we bought in Nashville. Enjoy.

Brent -

"DA Book" in your case, would be the Eagle 10
Service/Maintenance and parts manuals. If you stick around
here long enough, you'll be typing in busonics also!

(after which, you may be institutionalized)

Hi Brent,

Go to www.busforsale.com and you'll see they have a Parts book and a Maintenance book available on CD for the Model 10 for $99. each.

They're in Goodlettsville so I would highly recommend you go visit John and Hilary - they are such nice people and you'll want to get to know them just because of what they do and where they are. Call 615.859.1998 and please let them know I sent you and say hi for me!
