I think that's the model# I can't read tag toowell The air bags on the right side of my bus go down in a day and a half, the bags on the left stay up forever. Can a leak in one bag cause the whole side to go down? I can't find any obvious leaks. This listing effect drives me nuts,I wouldnt mind if the whole bus went down equily. Anyone know where I can get an air schematic? Suggestions?????????????????????????????????? Thank's in advance Glen |

Hi Glen I have a 1974 Flx transit too. My bags all go down in about 5 hours. If I understand the system correctly, the entire left-right adjustment is done from the rear air bags. The front bags flow-thru btwn the left and right making a 3 pt leveling system. If one side of your bus leaks down faster than the other, I'd check the lines and bags on that side in the rear. Course from my perspective, I'd be happy with a day and a half! But I can understand your annoyance it it going down crooked. . . You can get complete parts and maintenance manuals for these ol' girls. Check: http://www.coachinfo.com/ They ain't cheap, but they should have them. Well a photocopy anyway. . . I presume they bought the rights when Flx was deep sixed. Contact me off-line and I'll see if I can copy the pages you need for the air if you want. I am on the road and unless I pass a copy shop somewhere, wouldn't be able to do it 'til next week sometime. BTW, I am sure you know this, but block that bus up with some very stout timbers before you crawl under there and mess with the suspension. Check the right rear, starting with the leveling valve, which are notorious for leaking thru the bleed port. U can get new leveling valves at most fleet truck parts houses--same valve used on truck trailers. Abt $50-55 for a new one. If u have a Delco valve, they make, or at least they use to, complete repair kit for the valves, if u can find the kit anywhere. |
