Are you talking about the Radius Rods? A bushing at each
end? And the pins that hold them to the chassis are cracked?

yes john ,i should have said that . radious rod mount that go stright forward off the axle and mount to the frame where the spare tire compartment is , this frame member on both sides show cracks from stress the steel tube looks to be about 3 1/2 square comming down from the top maine frame welded into the spare tire compartment and the radious rods are bolted to the bottom of this tube housing.

I have to replace the bushings in mine, and after talking to
the bus company down here, they said:

If the pins (what the radius arm is connected to) is cracked,
or too, too far worn, they should be replaced; that there is
too much weight and torque applied to the pin during travel,
to trust a repair.

They do sell bushings to fit the pin, if it's modestly worn...

If it's the radius arm itself, with the crack? Just get another
one, I wouldn't bother playing with it..

If you take a picture and post it to this board, I'd bet you'd
have some better advice from those that have made that type
of fix!

john the bushings are in good shape ..it's where the pin or bolt goes in the frame member has the stress crack.. looks to me someone tryed to turn it to hard lock to lock to many times and twistwd it ... in my previous post i said the square frame member ..the radious rods by themselfs are almost industrctable.

There's no way, that a hard "lock to lock" would twist or
destroy that section. If I were you, I'd take it to a competent
bus garage for a look-see. They should be able to tell you
exactly what's wrong, and what may have happened to cause
that damage..... and how it should be repaired.

This is nothing to fool with. And without pictures and/or an
actual in-person view, any suggestions would be totally
invalid. Don't end up as roadkill, willya? Get it looked at
by people that know what they're looking at.
