now my bal lights are not working. I do not have a manual so I don't have a schematic. |

Ron the bay lights should be wired so they only are on if the parking lights are on. At least thats the way ours are, I don't have a manual on 8's either. |

Ron, Page 21 of the MC 8 Operator's Manual states: "Baggage compartment lights are illuminated automatically when any of the bagage compartment doors are opened." And that's how they are on my 1976 MC8. Of course the main power switch must be on. The down side: Any time the main power switch is on and a baggage door is open. You're draining the batteries. {Note: If you, or anyone else, would like a copy of the MC8 Operator's Manual. Please let me know. Thanks to Jim Wright, I have it in 22 JPG files that print out to a 40 page two-sided pamphlet.) The baggage compartment lights are wired to Stud 25, Code 31, a Green-Black 14 gauge wire in the Front Juction Box. That's the one under the Driver's window. According to the diagram, Stud 25 is in the second row from the top, second post from the left. If you want it, can scan the single page diagram and send it to you. John |
