Well folks, I have finally updated my bus project pages. They can be found at: http://www.rvsafetysystems.com/busproject.htm While I have made changes to most of the document, the major revisions begin at page 3 and the documentation of the new Series 60 and AutoShift is described in pages 3-5. Hope some of the information will be of help to others. Now I have to get back to working on the bus!!!! My goal is to start testing with short trips in mid-February and make its maiden voyage to California in March to be a vendor at the FMCA convention in Pomona. Jim Shepherd Evergreen, CO ’85 Eagle 10

Hello Jim & Pat I also enjoyed your update today and you gave me a few new ideas to incorporate in the "Rustless Money Pit" conversion. That double framing looks real familar and sturdy, the "RustBullet" application really makes her perty!! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and Pat at Arcadia, my only regret right this moment in fact is that I did not take the time to just sit and talk and not rush out like I did and take pictures and google over all those beautiful rigs like I did, but just sit and enjoy visiting with you and Pat while we were there. As you know I was the new kid in the block and wanted to see everything like a kid at Disneyland for the first time. I can promise you this will not happen next year. I will be sure to be mentally in 2nd gear and not 9th. My personal dilema right now is recovering from a very bad back (sciatic) nerve problem that has put me down every since Arcadia in fact. I am in therapy right now and bitting at the bit every nice day that comes up. I walk around and around the bus every day, I am sure there is a 4" deep path the entire circumference of the bus by now, (In Concrete). My goal now for the Eagle to be roadworthy is up the the air, but my health is way more important to continue a healthy family life and this Eagle project after recovery. I spend much time now in front of computer looking at all the posts with the pictues of accomplishments and receiving more education I still wish I had going on (4 Years) now ago which includes your site. I appreciate all the "Safety" equipment installations you recommend that I want to incoroprate in my conversion because of your web site: http://rvsafetysystems.com I can see and appreciate your hard work that you do mostly all alone except when I am sure Pat helps you also on your bus and wish I were there to help but sometimes just support from the bb'ds has a lot to do with mental support for everything you are trying to do as we all try these huge projects. The accomplishment level is a natural high when part of the conversion comes together and you can not wait to share it with others. I can see you doing this and I also try to do this just to encourage everyone that doing a bus conversion can be done with support and encouragement from personal deep thought and bb'd education and support from family, friends and other busnuts who appreciate the fruts of your hard labor. I am babbling on again as usual but keep that information coming for us all to see. Take good care and keep all the parts of your body where they are now, these big girls are a real challenge. Gary |

Hi Jim, Project looks great! I really wanted to make it to Florida and sit in on the seminar you and Sonnie did but my dad, who was planning on coming with me, ended up in the hospital. Maybe this year. Keep up the good work and hope you are on the road soon. Phil |

Hi Jim, your project is really coming along, those engine mounts look great! I have been thinking about what I needed, but I think you have come up with a really great system. I noticed in one photo of the drill and jack combination, I like it! If you have ever drilled over head, you can really appreciate that, especially with a 1/2 or 3/4 inch drill motor! Keep up the great work! Pat |
