Hi folks, Well, as you can see, the idiots who pretend to be my ISP have again sent up a backup copy of this web site to the server without forewarning me. They had dropped a few files, including several off this board and the entire "eBay on BNO" section, some out of "The BNO Store" and shut down my corporate web site altogether. They asked me which files - I told them exactly which files - they recovered the entire site... all of my sites, actually, from old backup copies. When I told them that 30 people visit this site from one minute to the next, they finally stopped destroying the file structure of the bulletin board. Everything would have been fine had they told me what they were doing and gave me the opportunity to lock the board and do a quick backup of it - features built into this board. And, so here we are with a complete data recovery, reindexing and regeneration of this entire bulletin board system - once yesterday and one just completed. I'm kinda thinking I'm going to need to do this every day for the rest of my life... NOT!! But I AM getting used to it!! Notice, please that some messages are missing as a result of my ISP Stupid Internet Tricks, including my "Gentlemen, start your engines..." thread, announcing the bulletin board was back in service. Bottom line, I think they will be recovering from the lambasting I gave them tonight, for some time. The board is back again and you can now start your messaging at your leisure. Kasinos... again, my ISP cancelled the "banned" IP and the "Profanity checker" lists that had the kasino people under control and I have deleted all those messages. How annoying was that? So those should slow down some and, not to worry, I delete those as soon as I see them. Thank you to all those who emailed me with the offending threads. I will answer your emails shortly. Ok... again, thank you for your continued patience... go forth and... Enjoy :~) Ian www.busnut.com |
