I have a 15kw gen set mounted in front drivers side bay. I didnt want one that big but it was only 2k with 4000 hrs on it.
The fit is very tight. any ideas on how to make it quiet. the bus is a 57 4104. i have room on sides and ends but top is almost hitting roof of bay.
is mounted in lenght wise with radiator facing middle bay.

The quietest installations on the market are by Liberty and Vantare. They use a box around the genset, rubber bellows type support isolators and the inside of the box and door is covered with a multiple media sound deadening material.

The radiators are remotely located and instead of a car type radiator fan they use large volume squirrel cage type fans located toward the center of the coach.

Go look at those conversions and steal their ideas.
