I don't know how many of you knew my husband, Tom Geren who passed away in Oct. He had an eagle bus in the back yard that he has been working on. It is stripped to its frame and I am at a loss as to what to do with it. Any advice or information would be appreciated. Diana |

Diana, I'm sorry to hear about your husband, one thing about buses is that there is always someone interested, just don't sell yourself short. Good luck, its your show don't let anyone tell you differently! Pat http://prevostlemirage.blogspot.com/ |

Diana - Do you know if Tom had a fellow bus nut friend near where you live? It would be good to get someone you can trust to look the project over so that you can represent the state it is in. Buyers will have questions about the type of engine, transmission, running condition, tire life, included extras, and so on. If you can get a busnut in your area to help you build such a "cheat sheet" it will help you move the bus on to the next owner (I assume that is what you want). With the help of the "cheat sheet" you can poll this group, and anyone else that can give an informed opinion of what the bus is worth in its current condition. Projects always look impossible to move, but for just about everything out there, there is a buyer willing to take it, at the buyer's price. (That can be a big price in a seller's market, or not so big in a buyer's market). Take some pictures, get the cheat sheet together, get a "finger in the wind" appraisal (or better) and then you are off to the races for marketing your bus. I hope this helps. It sounds like a lot, but take it in steps and you will get there. Best Regards, Craig - MC7 Oregon |

Diana, Where are you located? It might be possible that you are near one of us bus nuts that might be able to come to your aid. |

Hi Diana, I'm the owner of this web site and I am stunned to hear of this sad, sad news, as I considered Tom a very good "busnut" friend after having spent many, many hours "chatting" with him in my chat room over the years. Tom produced the one and only trailer for "The BNO Multimedia Magazine" and distributed it widely from this web site, for which I am eternally grateful. I met you and Tom in Vegas at a Bus Conversions Magazine Convention some 5 or 6 years ago now and I have a nice picture of a bunch of us who got together for a group photo. Please feel free to contact me at 905.862.0155 at any time to discuss your options concerning the bus - I would, of course, be happy to assist you in its disposition. Right now I am on a two week course away from home, so can I please ask that you be patient with me for that length of time. Also, please feel free to email me directly at ian@busnut.com if you'd like to be in touch sooner, as I will be checking email regularly while I am away. If you need, or you feel it might be appropriate, I can fly down to CA to meet with you regarding future plans for the Eagle. I would have done anything for Tom and I am just absolutely devastated about his passing. Please do take care Diane and please accept my truest and most sincere condolences. Let's chat soon. Warmest best wishes. Ian Giffin www.busnut.com |
