have all the nerve. I was coming home from Mt Dora today and stopped at a local pizza hut not to far from home which sits adjacent to the Local Wal-Mart Supercenter. There is where I noticed a bus conversion in the parking lot, (they all get my attention) and after approaching this conversion I witnesed the owner obviously not only parked for the night, he had his gas grill set up, lawn chairs, AND get this, tiki torches! I was shocked to see this and almost... I said almost, went and said something but Susan advised me not to. I think this kind of home steading should be stopped. It's one thing to stop for the night and do a little shopping, and catch a wink or two, but THIS? These types should be ashamed to call themselves bus nuts, IMHO! Oh I forgot to mention that they had thier bicycles out from what appeared to be a ride thru wherever! Sorry but this really got to me! Ace | ||

And these Homesteaders would be the same folks that would pull into our RV Park and turn their noses up because we don't have all asphalt roads and concrete pads... I say WalMart is a perfect place for these folks... Brent | ||

Ace, as Linda said "what kind of bus?". WalMarts are for PARKING not CAMPING. This is the kind of thing that causes businesses to not allow us to spend a night. Someplace I hace a paper that FMCA distrubited telling WalMart users what they should do and not do when overnighting. I will try to find it and post a copy of it onm here. When we see someone abusing the "overnighting" rules, I would put one of these papers on their windshield. | ||

Unfortunately it was an OLDER MCI and it also had a detached toad which appeared to be a jeep type car with a canvas roof or something similar. The bus was an off white or grey primer that looked to be in not the best of condition. I wasn't there long enough to see the owner/s! Ace To update another topic... Carla is still in an induced coma and in ICU. No other word as to her prognosess at this time! | ||

Ace.... This is probably very unkind of me, being a 'newbie' on the board, but did you happen to see the tag on the bus? I can't help it...it's my cynical nature.. but I'd almost give odds that the bus had a Quebec tag. OK, So I might have p@#$%d off some of the Northern Neighbors but it would be status quo for them. | ||

NcBob, Wow man, Just stick that foot right in up to the ankle. Gosh lets just insult our neighbors.. Speaking of where the tags were from.. My Super Wal Mart across the street had abuses of the priveledge for most of last week. Slides, Tents, Tables, Grills and a lot more & lots of Bikes for Bike week. The Tags that I saw were from GA,NC,SC & Florida. There were a few other states involved too. Part of the problem was that there are not enough campgrounds to handle even a small portion of the 1/2 million visitors that show up. Now that I said that, I saw lots of bikes from Canada here including QC .. They apparently got all the good parking spots.. Good for Them !!!! | ||

ACE, You had it almost right. Maybe they don't consider themselves bus nuts. Maybe they have not concept of what that is? "ashamed to call themselves bus nuts" Sorry, I would have probably gone up and asked them a few polite questions and made the point of the apparent lack of good sense in a polite manner. ( Besides what happens in Lake County usually starts to fester after a while..  ) Sorry, Just couldn't resist.. I live in "Volusia" county so I can't really say much !!!! | ||
