Does any body know if a 4 speed tranny out of a 8V71 will bolt up to a 6V71? And if not what needs to be done. All replies are appreciated. Thanks AL.

If the flywheel housing and the clutch housing are the same SAE size, then it should bolt up. I am bolting a TO-11605 to a DD-8.2T. I had to get a SAE #2 clutch housing to bolt on the transmission and a SAE #2 flywheel housing for the 8.2.

There are a couple web site/pages that list the dimensions of the different clutch and flywheel housings. don't recall the url's off hand.
