On my 5303 at the right rear is an access door to the transmission, the hinge on the door is a piece of rubber that slides into a track on the door top. Where can I get a new one?
Thanks in advance,
Charley

Charley, we've got some of the lifetime hinge from Dean's coach to sell, still.

The original material can be bought for around $2 per foot and the lifetime guaranteed material runs $5 per foot from Dean's.

We bought enough to do a 4106 from Dean's and then discovered that there was more hinge than we needed already tucked away on our bus.

We have a request for 25 feet of it and we have 42 feet, so we still have 17 feet
to sell. We would like to get what we paid for ours ($5 foot) plus shipping.

Let us know if you are interested.

Tom,
do you know if this is the same material used on the battery compartment door on a 1976 MC-8? If so, I will buy some off you, my buddy was over helping me and thought the door closed with a gas ram and just pushed down, splitting it right across. I can't complain as he did remove the alternator, potty tank and a/c compressor whilst he was here.....
Peter.

Peter, Luke at US Coach told me that GMCs and MCIs take the same hinge. I would think he would know, since he sells bus parts for both brands and he told me he owns an MCI himself.

This hinge has cord in it. We'll send you an email with some pictures and dimensions to take a look at.

I wouldn't complain, either, if a buddy came over and made himself useful instead of sitting in front of the tube drinking up all the beer! Any that tried that would be disappointed by my dry fridge.
