Hey guys, I’ve found a Speedo/odo setup with what looks like an inductive proximity sensor on the end of a nice long cable, including a mounting bracket for the sensor. I'm guessing it's one where you duct tape a magnet to a wheel or something. It’s an MCI part – part # 7L-8-736 . Would this work on my PD4104 with 12 volt negative ground electrical system? I have no speedo and no tach – and I’d really like to have one or the other. I was planning on just getting a GPS to use as a speedo, but this would be better. I hope it will work – I’d love to have a speedo that goes to 140 mph in a 4104! (LOLOL) Thanks, Casper4104 |

Casper I can't be much help but my 4905 has an MCI speedo, only thing is I don't know what had to be done to make it work. I looks a little funny in the dash but it works very good. 4905 larry |

Wow, that was quick... Slow down there Frank, D&T 4 holes in what? A wheel?, the driveshaft? Thanks for trying, but I'm kinda dense. That's good news Larry - it can be done. Thanks. The big if is , will it work with my 12V electric? MCI's run 24V don't they? Thanks, Casper |

Hi if it’s the one I think it is be aware , the BOLD white easy to see numbers are kilometers and the hard to see numbers are MPH. Could be confusing at a glance |

Casper, sorry was trying to hurry and hurried a bit too much, the holes go in the outer edge of the brake drum, the censor then reads the speed as the bolts go by. i did my own Frank Allen 4106 |

Great Frank, thanks. Was your 4106 12V or 24V? Was your speedo setup 12V or 24V? Does it matter? Thanks, Casper |
