I recently purchased a 1979 TMC MC-9 from a local sellar. The bus
most recently belonged to a local company. The bus is painted white
and I noticed that there was a few chips of paint missing on the
front top of the bus. Where the bus was chipped I noticed the color
was blue. So I began to figure this bus was probably a greyhound in
its first few years. So looking like an idiot probably to my
neighbors I was staring over and over at the luggage bay pannels
trying to find where the old ICC numbers were listed. After about 5
minutes I was able to make out Greyhound Phoenix Arizona. I then went
inside the bus and made out the bus number as 8143.

I then went to http://www.strayhound.com/revealed.htm and was able to
find out that this bus was stationed somewhere out west.

Does anyone out there know of any websites where I could find out
more about this bus by its greyhound number. Im interested about its
route and date of retirement. I was also thinking about contacting
Greyhound. I'm not sure if I would get any help from them or not.
Maybe someone else in a similar position out there has.

Any input would be great.

Thanks,
Chris

If this MCI that you speak of still has the lavatory installed.
Open the trash bin door there will be a US Health Department sticker behind the door on the wall next to the lav door sill it will give the Greyhound division it went to and the date.

jlv,

Checked out the bathroom for the sticker. Did find it although some of it was hard to read and a small section was torn off. But still amazing to find it. Thanks
