Hello all
Had a quick question about compressor not governing but allowing safty valve to pop off on the front bulkhead by the tank. the tank behind the front axle. How do you change the setting on the govenor? Is there an outlet that could be cloggd and not regulating or what? just a few questions, sure would appreciate any ideas. Thanks! Jimmy Besett

If the saftey valve is poping off you got more problens than just adjusting something. Replace your air govener there cheap and easy to replace Should take you 30 minutes tops.

There is a plastic cap on the end of the governor which is mounted on the side of the compressor. Remove (unscrew) that and there is a screw and nut beneath. Adjust the cutout pressure with the screw and lock with the nut. Even if you replace the governor it may need adjusting. You have a good compressor if you're blowing off the safety valve at 150psi. If it is blowing off less than that, either replace or adjust the safety valve. Air should turn on at 90 and off at 120 and is controlled by the governor.
