Hi. I have a change to buy a 4106 for about 3,500. I was told engine was rebuilt and new clutch. It has a 4 speed. Is this a fair price and would this be a good coach to start with for a low priced conversion (If there is such a thing) Thanks, Tim G. |

The lowest priced conversion is still a $10,000+ investment , just in parts , and folks that suffer the disease of "BESTIS" will pay tripple to get the same job done. The price sounds fine , but its negotation time AFTER the coach has been to DD and checked on the chasis dynomometer{ about $150 investment}and after you have driven it at least an hour or two. Best to drive a hundred+ miles getting to DD for the MANDITORY check. Slap a plate on , dont let the seller Barbra Striesand you about how hard it is to get to DD. Then start crusing the used places for stuff like a gen set or working RV fridge. A furnace is cheap to get new. Just figure what you can fix { if you have to} and THAT is is OK used. FAST FRED |
