First of all I have been a bus nut for almost 20 years, and always notice weird things. Some stick out in my mind more than others, because I have never seen them again. #1. Long ago, I saw a picture(real not made up) of a GM PD-3751 that had been streeched from the rear wheel back making it a dual axel, and I would guess approx 45' long. Anybody seen that photo ???????? #2. While bargin shopping in Elkhart, we stayed at a campground there and in the campground was an eagle that had been widened. In the front end they added a new little window in between the two windshields, approx 4" wide by 40 " long. And have never seen anything like it again. How 'bout it any of you seen either ??????? A couple of years back a PD4103 that was stretched and had a roof raise was on eBay. I know it was on at least twice and I think it only went for $100. It looked a lot like a Scenic. I also have a picture of a MoPac 3704? that has been made over with parts from a 4103 and a 4104. They put in the big '04 windows and gave it an '03 front end. Dallas |

I think the Eagle you saw was a Model 7. A rare beast. The little strip of window in the middle was done to use model 5/10 windows I believe. If it was green, I have seen the bus you mention at the Busnut rally in Arcadia. |

Hal St. Clair of Albuquerque NM took an Eagle 5 and stretched it 5 feet and widened it 6 inches. One of the most beautiful conversions I have ever seen. He is truly a master craftsman. Richard PS Edit He also has a Series 60 at 525 or 575 hp. I forget which. Big one though. He can run with the big dogs! (Message edited by drivingmisslazy on May 03, 2006) |

Couple of years ago at the FMCA Buffalo Convention, saw a 4106 that looked to be streched to 40 ft.( didn't have a tape); stepped it off. Real nice job.I stretched a IC-41 Brill to 38 ft several years ago, never finished it then sold it to a guy in Ohio.Helped him drive it there; still ran nice. |

Hal Sinclair, the President of Eagle Owners Ass'n makes (made?) his home up the street from where I lived in Henderson, NV (Las Vegas) and yes he has a gorgeous Eagle (575 HP). Last I was there he was preparing to put Freightliner (I think) front disc brakes on it. When you first drive by his home you can't quite figure what is different, until you pay close attention to the raised roof on his garage. Hal is the Electrical Inspector for Henderson, and a Master Electrician to boot. ...JJ |
