I just got back from seeing it, and although it was silly and stupid, it did get me laughing more than once. Oh, the life of bad drivers in stick n staples....

I saw an internet trailer for it several months ago. Seems to perpetuate the sterotypical "R.V.'ers as white-trash goofballs"... "honey get back... the black tank is gonna BLOW"... yadda yadda. I seem to remember the "nutjob" family in a coach conversion persuing them... maybe an old Flx or something. Right movie? bb |

I saw it last night. Funny, but more of a "DVD rental" than a movie theatre viewing. Dug 75 MC8 Arcadia, Fl |

Yeah, a rental, for sure. The folks over at Escapees loved it. |

I saw it on a "bargain night" at our local theater. Told my wife that the Flxible would last longer than the big bucks stick and staple motorhome, and I wasn't impressed by the slide-out. I'll still take the bus. |

Watched the trailer and decided not to spend my time or $$ at the theater for this one. One review gave it a 5, with 10 being the best. Another review gave it 1/2 star out of 4. Robin Williams has been in some great movies, but imho, this isn't one of them. |

I just saw it tonight and the back of my head has knots from laughing so much. Of course I'm usually the one guy in the theatre that breaks out with a belly laugh when there's total silence, & that usually ignites most of the others to join in. I grew up with slapstick comedy - Laurel & Hardy, Martin & Lewis, The Bowery Boys, Three Stooges, etc. I think we have to let loose once in a while and laugh at ourselves. I read the "Escapees" board & I agree with them. Robin Williams IS SLAPSTICK COMEDY at it's best. Just my two cents worth. |

I just got back from seeing it, we loved it! I had seen the very poor ratings, and heard of some who disliked it, and quickly figured out that IF you have been an RVer for some years as we are, it was funny. IF you never set foot in one of them, you just could not get the humor in it. Most of the rating guys and gals would not lower themselves to ever consider an RV. To each his own. |

It is worth seeing because: It made me laugh a lot. It had no sex scenes It had no curse words. If people don't support movies for the last two reasons stated above, we will continue to get the garbage that we get. Vote with your dollars!! just standing on my soap box. I'll get off now. More on the Bus: I'm missing a lot of facts and details but here's some more of the story.... Some time in the 50's a wealthy man named Miles Clark bought TWO shiny Flxible Clippers for the local high school band. Elizabeth City, NC is not a wealthy town and the gift was HUGE. The band was very good and did well in competition. Some of their success was attributed to those beautiful buses. The band rode in them until the early 80's when the county finally gave up trying to maintain them. One is in a barn here in E-city awaiting a restoration by a volunteer group and the other is the bus seen in the movie. I don't know anything else, folks here are seeing the movie because of the bus. I thought the movie was pretty good. Dave |
