My 8V71 had Napa fuel filters (spin-on)I took both filters to a oil supply store, to make sure I would get the right ones back. They gave me Fram filters. They must be the wrong ones, they are leaking at the base. Does anybody know the right spin-on's for a DD8V71.

Thanks in advance Pat

The spin-on fuel filters that were on my MCI 8 were

Fuel Primary - DD 23518481, AC TP915D, Fleetguard FF207, Baldwin BF580

Fuel Secondary - DD 25014342, AC Delco TP916D, Fleetguard FF206, Baldwin BF581

I did not give you the Fram numbers since they have a poor reputation for quality.

Pat, I'm not taking a stand on Fram filters either way here, but it seems strange that they are leaking at the base...I know it's a long shot, but did you make sure that you removed the old gasket from the filter base before installing the new filters,(I've done that) and are they the correct tightness?
There should be a physical reason that the threased mount doesn't compress the gasket all the way around and make a leakproof seal.
If the filters are the correct model and installed correctly and still leak, you should contact Fram and let them know. You should also ask for a refund of your $$$$ from them as well.
Hope this helps.
