My old steering wheel is falling apart. The old plastic is chipping apart. I need some suggestions where to get a nice steering wheel and also a comfortable drivers seat. Thanks and have a great day. |

Check out VIP steering wheels, search google. I pun a couple seats from a late model new yorker with 8 way power in my 4905. Minor modifications to make it work. FWIW Cliff |

and also a comfortable drivers seat. The drivers seat will have a different front to back depth if you shift yourself or have moms slushpump . You will need to be able to operate the clutch easily , if you have one. The commercial truck stuff has nice seats and armrests , something I prefer. Nimco or others have the real fancy Euro style seats , but there huge to ship. FAST FRED |

I am near Milwaukee, WI. Because I was also thinking about a commercial seat, I found a mid-80's Kenworth air-ride, a few years ago. However, I don't know if it is a nice ride. Has anyone else used an older truck seat. Maybe I should just get a new one? |

i have Raccaro seats that i take out of transit buses and they are a great AIR ride seat and are very expensive when bought new but well worth the money and i also have the tilt telliscoping wheels but you are too far away to ship. what i would do is go to your local transit company and see if the have any buses that they are disposing of and see what is in them. other than that go to a heavy truck salvage yard and they will havethe tilt wheels at good prices. the tilt wheel is easy to put in as i just replaced mine in my 4104 and it works great. |

If I go to the slavage yard for a tilt wheel, what do I need to look for to know it will fit? I never looked before, but are all the stearing wheels interchangable? |

It's not the steering wheel that's the issue as you'll remove the full assembly. What you want to check is the splines at the end for the universal or sleeve attaching the tilt mechansim to the continuation of the steering shaft. |

we put in a truck air seat out of a Kenworth cab. It was a little worn on the left side which doesent show in the coach. Its nice to be able to have multiple adjustments on long trips as well as having the arm rests. The only thing i now dont like is that it is a high back and hard to see around and over when at rest. |
