I just changed the fuel filters on my bus. The first time I have done this for myself. How long does it take for the system to start up and run regulary after a fuel filter change? does it take awhile for it to start up after doing this? thanks in advance

Are they spin-on filters? Did you fill them with diesel prior to installing them?

if you had it running just before you changed the filters there should be no stop and go unless the chesk valve in the fuel line let the fuel drain back into t6he tank then you may have to reprime the filters like you did the first time only do it quicker to prevent it draining back into the fuel tank. you may find it easyier to just keep priming the primary without taking of the spin on off.

Ahhh, also a trick I learned from MAK himself is to fill a dishsoap bottle full of diesel and remove a plug out of the filter block on the secondary filter and stick the tip of the soap bottle in the hole and squeeze while letting the engine run then when the bottle is empty plug the whole with yer finger until you are certain the engine is running on it's own prime then quickly put the plug back in! Works good! Knuckle
