I got a call tonight from a member who admits he's a
"lurker" but knows his way around busses. Just wanted to give him a personal 'Thank you' for his input.

Y'know, there's a bunch of fine guys out there who we don't necessarily hear from on the board...but all the same they're interested and hlepful.

Funny how that works, isn’t it?

When I had trouble with my reversing solenoid, I posted my tale of woe on a couple of BBS’s. When I talked to the mechanic, he called his parts vendor – and the vendor already knew the whole story! The guy’s a lurker, and he had read my post and was kind of expecting a phone call.

I think it helped me get my solenoid replaced. The guy already knew the whole story and was pretty sure I was for real and not playing games.

HEY LURKERS! CHIME IN ONCE IN A WHILE – WE WON’T BITE! (hehehe)

HI Bob:

I responded to Casper's post, because I the supplied the part that his shop had the problem with (first time for this particular part), and although I do not manufacture this stuff, it still bothers me when a customer or customer customer has a problem.

Clearing the air!!!

Hi Luke,

I didn't know you were the supplier - the other guy was mum about where he got his parts (to be fair I didn't really ask) so I assumed the vendor was a silent lurker.

Did you read my whining? Basically here's the deal,,, the dang thing won't pull. I took an auto jumper cable straight from the starter lug to the post on the solenoid and got almost nothing.

I'm taking a day trip to Cleveland (R&R hall of fame) tomorrow with a gaggle of my kids' teenage friends, and I'll just try not to get in any spots there I need to back out. Mama's getting pretty handy with the broom handle, but I'll try not to get in that spot.

Hopefully the part will come in soon. It's probably somewhere in between Jersey and Florida, or Florida and Ohio.

Anwho, thanks for the replacement. Sometimes electrical stuff ain't warranted so good and I appreciate you standing behind this thing.
