The plans I have posted I used 1/4 air lines because of the air seat valves(1/8 fpt)and used 1/4to3/8 tube to tube adapters to get them connected to my 3/8 airbag lines. They work fine with no leakage but are kind of slow to air up. That probably is a good thing so as to not accidently overfill the bags. I think it is because of the 1/4 supply line going from the air tank to the valves being small. There doesn't seem to be the same problem when i let air out of the bags so if you are the impatient type use a larger air supply line going to the valves. |

My air leveling system uses 4 24v skinner air valves to reconnect the air bags to the bus leveling valves when the bus is powered up. I put the valves between the leveling valve and the air beam. I then put a T between the skinner valve and the air beam which hooks up to my leveling system. When parked, the skinner valve closes and the leveling system can inflate or deflate each of the bags as needed to level. When you are ready to go and the master switch is turned on, the skinner valves open and the bus leveling valves take over and you don't have to mess with leveling the bus to get on the road. |

Jojo, sounds just what I want to install on my MC-8. What bus do you have this system on, and do you have any diagrams/plans/pics of it? Thanks. Peter. |

I have an MCI-5a. I will try to take some pictures when I get a chance to take a wheel off. In essence, use the many plans that use the air seat valves to add/release air. Add a T between the leveling valves and the air beam. Add the skinner valve between the leveling valve and the T. Wire it up so the valves get juice when you throw the master switch and they will allow air from the leveling valve to the air beam and level the bus. When parked the skinner valves close and you can add/release air with your air seat valves that feed in through the T. The system is basically the same system that has been posted here multiple times except for the addition of the skinner valves. |
