A 4108 or 4905 ( Buffalo ? ) Just guessing since you didn't specify what it was you wanted to know about. How many axles? Whether it was a city bus or highway (tour or hound) bus? So far there are probably 10 possibilities but the 6V92 would be a problem unless the bus had the engine changed. Probably actually an 8V71 original. Is it automatic or manual shift? Does the engine sit across the back of the bus? |

My '70 4905 is a 24V. It gets around 10 mpg, and has a 145 gal fuel tank. Hope all goes well! Cheers! Kevin Hatch 1970 PD-4905 |

P8M4905A893 from GMC to Smith's Charter Bus Service (Royal Coach)Fremont,CA. Fleet number 523 12/1974. Is this 12 volt? No the Bus is 24VDC neg ground. 8 to 10 MPG should be abt right? (6&7 MPG) how big should fuel tank be? It could have the(optional)larger fuel tank 165 US gallons. I think the standard tank was 135 or 145 gallons. There was a total of 2028 P8M4905A coaches built. The last Buffalos were the H8H-649 and there were only 233 of these coaches built. jlv |
