We are thinking of covering the roof of our 1990 MCI102A3 with polyurethane foam insulation, and looking for ideas on what to cover it with. Any suggestions? A little background info: If not covered, polyurethane will be destroyed by the UV rays of the sun. I read a book about doing this and covering the foam with aluminum. Aluminum is a lot more expensive now than it was when the book was written. The reason we are considering adding the foam on the top of the roof instead of inside the bus is that a MCI102A3 leaves not too much headroom already, and we don't want to reduce it any further. Thanks for your ideas! |

From http://www.monolithic.com I discovered that some have used a substance called nitrocoat polyurea on RVs. Does anybody have any experience with this stuff? |

George Meyers has a pamphlet on how he added half a foot of insulation to his bus roof. Simply covered everything with really thin aluminum , but read the booklet for pointers. FAST FRED |
