I just purchased my bus Christmas Eve ( 1955 Greyhound Scenicruiser www.busfarm.com/b3 ) It has just about everything, trash compactor, fireplace, fiber optic light, tunnel lamp ( a blast from the 70's - converted in 1978 )3 - 6ft x 6ft windows, lowered floors, but was missing a washer/dryer, as I am living full time now. All the washer/dryer combos are 23 1/5 inches wide, my widest closet is 22 inches and very deep, what do do... Then it hit my friend, they sell a unit that's 33" H X 23.5" W X 18" D, why not put the washer/dryer on a sliding shelf sideways. Can fit 18" through a 22" opening real easy and there's still plenty of room for hoses, electrical. My closet is plenty deep enough. Will use the same slider shelves as sold through a major camping accessories outlet. I'm so excited about this idea. Just open the closet door, slide the washer out ( closet floor is about 10 inches above hallway floor ). just a thought..... |
