I bought one of those boxes called a Scion xb,(one ugly car).
I love it I can sit in it with out hitting my head on the roof, back seat too.
I'm looking for a rock guard for my Blue Ox hitch. Most are over $400.00. Any ideas where I can get one cheap or build one

The largest size Lexan panels cost around $45 each at Home Depot.
Mounting two, to a bracket made to fit the tow bar mount, isn't
all that difficult... Be sure to get Lexan; Plexi will crack.

I towed my kid's Nissan & now my Ford Exploder with a homemade setup. It consists of a piece of carpet runner slightly longer than the vehicle is wide. Open the hood, put the runner fuzzy side down over the rad. Punch two holes to accomodate the spring pins that tension the hood and a larger hole to accomodate the hood latch. Gash out a couple of holes on the bottom to accomodate your hitch. Run a bungee cord from one fender well to the other to keep the thing from flapping in the wind.

It works great, doesn't look near as bad as it sounds and is C H E A P. I figure if it gets looking too ratty after a couple of years I'll be out another $10 for a new one.

Hey Knuckle - My oldest granddaughter, who's six, calls these things "Toaster Cars".

At least she can't get in trouble for mispronouncing "fugly". . . :-)

After a gal parked one at Walmart, I asked her what kind
of car came in the box....

Some women have absolutely no sense of humor.
