BR ceiling is DONE, YEAAAAA! Looking at the picture, do you think we need a window valance of some kind? I was thinking of maybe doing something across the top of the window to hide the window shade mechanicals. Something with a little scroll design and cover it with the same vinyl material as the ceiling. Susan say's just across the top and I say if anything at all that it should be across the top AND down each side.

Thoughts and or opinions are very welcome!

By the way, for all of you guys that have bare or stock ceilings, wait until you get a finished poroduct up there. Boy does it ever make a difference! I think the ceiling alone made the value go up at least 10k... LOL not really, but it sure does inspire me to keep going! This weekend should be a really good weekend since I'm not working so that means I am working, ON the bus! :-)

Jack anything on lights yet? I'm still empty handed up hereand as you see, I'm getting closer every day!

Hi Ace,

The ceiling really looks good.
I think you made a good choice making the ceiling a light color. You have excellent contrast with the dark wood.

What species of wood are you using for the trim and cabinets?

Thanks for info

Ace mine used a cloth valence of the same material as the draperies. It velcros in place and removes for washing. Looks good. On your bus it would look good in the dark naugrahyde that you used above the window. Looks good with exposed hardware too.

Greg, thanks.

As far as the species of wood used on the trim, I used white pine from home depot that is is stained using Minwax polyurethane gel stain in the mahoganny color. As for the cabinets? They are also white pine covered with laminate made by Wisonart also found at Home Depot, in the color called "versailles anigree" number 7923-07 which designates the final finish and in this case it's the satin finish not the gloss!

Steve, as we have shades and not draperies, it would be a little hard to make them the same. Don't really like the exposed hardware si it looks like a valance of some sorts is in order. Probably go with matching vinyl since it will be easy to clean which is a good point I forgot about!

Thanks... by the way, where have you been lately? You still here local or did you move?
