There should be a decal somewhere under the hood(engine compartment). Also check with International, they may have only put one size in school buses that year. After 27 years the school that bought it may have moved away. (The school I went to moved 6 miles away) |

ihc used a 345 v8 and a 392 v8 gas engine... its hard to tell them apart as either can be a bbl or a 2bbl carbuerator....ihc also made a huge 549 cu in v8... but ive never seen it in a bus, only a straight truck.... |

The Dodge semi trucks the company I worked for 30 years ago had 3 semi's with gas engines. They were International 478 ci and 549 ci. I can even tell you the truck nombers (but what good would that do?) When we got a GMC single axle semi- tractor with a 671, we really had a truck then. Jim g. - 1979 RTS-II |
