1. In your FAQ's the title comes up: My post does not show up On INTERNET explorer the easiest way I have found to get all current posts, including you own is to hit the "Refresh" button. 2. I use one computer at the shop, another one at home, with different addresses. atlasrent-rite1@verizon.net and richardrnb@charter.net. What I would like to do is that when I read a post at work it would indicate on my computer at home that I have read that message, and vice-versa. I suspect it has something to do with how I originally signed up for the BB, but I do not know how to change my information so that this happens. Can you please help? Richard |

It sounds kinda' impossible, Richard. The browser has to accept the "cookie", so it knows it's read the page. Machine "A" has the cookie, Machine "B" doesn't. (your machine stores the memory, not the host!) "life's a beach, then you expire". |

Leave computer "A" on, and and logged onto the net, with Windows Desktop Sharing enabled (Google for instructions). From machine "B" (ANY machine), log onto the remote machine "A" desktop and use the Internet Explorer on machine "A" to check this BBS !!! Works best with a high-speed connection, but Dialup would be fine for all text like this board. You can even use the desktop to shut down the remote machine when you're done. Make sure you have a good firewall running to keep each machine nice and secure. |

Hey Bruce, thanks. I'll give it a try. I do have hi speed connection and firewalls on both computers. One computer is on cable the other is on a DSL line. Thanks again from a computer dummy. Richard |
