The 8V71 in our MC-8 is also painted red. I was told this meant that the engine had been rebuilt by Greyhound. DD paints there engine Alpine Green. There are several companies selling Alpine Green, but each is slighlty different and apparently over the years DD changed the color slightly. If you want to keep it red, it looks very close the the red on my International tractor. Hope this helps, Jack |
