On my 1984 Eagle 10,the rear air gauge on the dash sometimes only reads about 100 pounds. It also will read 120 at other times. I tap on it thinking it might be stuck but with no luck. It just started doing it recenty after 81,000 miles of driving it. Any ideas? |

I have the same problem but mine is with the front tank. Some times it reads 120 and other times it drops to 100. Haven't had time to really get in to it but my thinking is it must be the auto drain valve sticking in the front tank. |

Variable air pressure is normal operation on a coach. The governor should keep air pressure within the 90-120psi range. At 120psi, your compressor unloads, meaning it quits adding pressure to the tanks. It should kick back in at 90psi. The air suspension and other air assessories use air while you're running down the road. You should routinely do a DOT pre-trip test (you can Google the term for untold pages of free info) to insure normal operation of your governor/ air compressor. HTH, Brian Brown |

Don't have to Google at all - there's an excellent generic pre-trip inspection guideline right here on BNO in the "Articles of Interest" section! |
